Our Chihuahuas are cared for by each one of our family members, except the baby: Ron, my husband of 22 years, Laura, 18 years old, Rose, 13 years old, and Carolyn, 8 years old, and by me. We are a homeschooling family that uses our Chihuahua business to teach responsibility and a strong work ethic. But it has taught all of us much more. Laura and Rose do much cleaning and scrubbing, but holding the puppies and watching them grow makes it all worth while. Carolyn socializes the puppies. Ron is in charge of feeding and watering the adult dogs, and I, Julie, care for the puppy suites and momma dogs. We all work as a team every morning for about an hour before breakfast, as well as time in the afternoon and evening in our kennel. Raising and breeding our Chihuahuas is a group effort that we enjoy doing.
The adults are all housed in a spacious indoor/outdoor kennel (they are not on cages) which has a "common yard", so they get plenty of exercise and sunshine. They have interaction everyday and are kept in a healthy well-maintained environment. The new mommas and pups are housed in a heated/air-conditioned puppy suite to ensure their maximum comfort. The adults receive heart-guard to protect against heart-worms and also Frontline each month, as well as their yearly vaccines. The puppies are on an approved schedule of dewormer and vaccines set up by our veterinarian, Dr. Joe Dubois. He has inspected our kennel as well as the USDA inspector and has approved of our operation.

Why buy your puppy from a pet store?  Why not go right to the source?  We have sold our puppies to pet stores in Florida, New York, Arizona, and other states.  They pay the same price as what we charge individuals, then they double or even triple our price.  We've seen their web sites.  Of course, they have to pay for shipping and for the rent of their store and employees, and they have to make a bit for profit.  My point is they are buying puppies from breeders that are licensed and USDA-approved.  That's us!!!  So, if you purchase a puppy directly from the breeder, you can ask questions and get direct answers.  And you'll know just where your puppy came from.
